DONE!!!

I cannot believe its done. AND that it actually functions as much as it does. So proud. And THANK YOU for helping me so much.

You know, I'm not even sure you read this, Peter, but I should probably put this in here just for me. I marveled today at how far my knowledge of coding has come (starting at 0 doesn't hurt). But, today, I had 45 minutes to finish everything up and find 2 or 3 different bugs in the code. And I DID it. Whereas, at the beginning of the semester, it would take me 4 hours of struggling just to get the right thing to be on the screen. It just kinda blew my mind a bit.

CRAZY. On to 760, right?!?!

Holy freakanoly....

My head nearly split in two on that one. Seriously. That took HOURS of frustration and staring until I finally figured the stupid thing out.  And it was so simple.  Oi. NOW, I shall return to the fray and absolutely KILL Step 5. Onward...whew...

MONEY! (or just really good resources)

It pays to ask...no, I'm not getting paid. BUT, apparently BYU does have pre-calculated color palettes from which to choose whatever stinking color of blue I want. AWESOME sauce.

Quick reference:
Text color: #444
BYU blue: PMS 648; #002255

Click around in that style guide link (also on the resources page) to find specs on a LOT of things.

Critique #1 from Geri (without pics)

1. On the login screen (PPT slide 8), this is how the current BYU app shows the login. I like this design and it is easy to use. Maybe this is standardized across the BYU app, but if not, it's a good design to emulate. I just took a picture of it on my own phone.
2. If I've set my BYU app to keep me signed in, will you require me to sign in again anyway, or will you accept that I'm permanently signed in to the BYU overall app? Just wondering.
3. The choices to "Sign my Contract" and "View My Contract History"--I'm trying to look at this as if I were using the app to sign my teaching contract. "Sign my Contract" makes me think that if I click on that, I will have signed my contract. Is that what happens or does it take me to a screen where I can see my contract and then click on a check box to officially sign my contract? I can see from later
slides that the answer is the latter--however, someone new to the app might not know that they will be able to see their contract first. So maybe reword it to a button that says "View & Sign Contract".
4. The contract screen to the right: Can I view those four items that I check the boxes of? If so, great. If not, it might be nice for those each to be a pop up screen with the policy for a quick review if I'm not sure--or at least a summary of each item if the actual policy would be way too long along with a reference to where I can read the entire policy.
5. Do you have a message pop up for if I try to accept my contract without checking each of the 4 boxes?
6. On slide 15, I'm guessing a message more like "You have accepted [contract name]" instead of "Success".
7. Overall, I really like the flow and function of the app as you've designed it. I would love to be able to sign my contracts this way and look forward to being able to at some point.

Also, I'm wondering if BYU has a style guide that you must follow to join the BYU app family. I'm guessing so.

Finding out about me...

I'm finding that one of my not-so-favorite things about me is exacerbated in coding:

I HATE moving onto the next thing without finishing what I'm working on right now.

Ya, I think that's gonna be a problem...

Step 2...

Whoa. I'm going BACKWARD on Step 2, not forward. This is one of those times where I'm gonna put in WAY more hours just to figure out one thing than I consider 10 points to be worth...
